Obituary
Genowefa passed away peacefully at the age of 91at Vancouver Hospital on Saturday, October 20th, 2018. She is survived by her four children Frank(Gabiniewicz), Teresa (Tonzetich), John(Gabiniewicz), Sophie(Gabiniewicz), her grandsons Steven, Peter, Alexander and by many relatives and friends. Genowefa was born in the parish of Wilcze in Poland in 1927. She lived on a farm there where she gained a love of animals. She came to live in Canada in 1948, and lived in Saskatoon and Cranbrook before she settled down in Vancouver and started a family in 1958. Genowefa will be remembered for her devotion to her children, and grandchildren and for her work in hospitals and for managing her rooming house in Vancouver for many years. She was also a dedicated member of the Blessed Sacrament Parish. Mass to be celebrated at
xx am on October xx, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Church(3040 Heather Street, Vancouver, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Red Cross Charity. Reception to follow at Genowefa’s home(233 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver, BC).
