Genevieve Mann
MANN, Genevieve (Gennie) Age 93 of Eastern Passage, passed away on August 23, 2018 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Florence, Cape Breton on September 5, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Sarah Rasmussen. Mum was a member of St. Andrew’s Church, Eastern Passage, and a member of the Catholic Women’s League for 25 years. Gennie was employed with the Provincial Government for 25 years. Mum enjoyed travel with dad, quilting, knitting, and sewing.
She is survived by daughter Linda (Keith) Wells, son Dale, grandchildren Jaqueline (Jason) Riley, Arthur (Rebecca) Wells, Kate (Terry) MacDonald, and Amy Mann (Jordan Panasuk), sisters; Lottie Walsh, Sylvia Porter, and Anne Glidden, and brothers; Louis and Stephen Rasmussen. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband Jack Mann, sisters; Viola, Theresa, Thelma, Mary, and Phyllis, and brothers; Joseph, Harold, Percy, and Simon Peter.
Visitation will take place from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 on Monday, August 27, 2018, in the Atlantic Funeral Homes Dartmouth Chapel (771 Main St.), and a Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 11:00am in St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Eastern Passage. Interment in the Dartmouth Memorial Gardens to follow the service, with a reception in the Atlantic Funeral Home following the interment.
