Geert Eising, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Resthaven Personal Care Home, Steinbach, MB.
He was predeceased by his wife Wilhelmina Eising in 2008.
He is survived by his three sons: Erik, Roelof and Gerwin along with their families in Manitoba, as well as his daughter Anneke and her family in the Netherlands.
Geert was born on August 17, 1929 in Hijken in the Netherlands, where he grew up with his parents and two brothers. After college he met Wilhelmina and after they married, they moved to the south of the Netherlands so Geert could start his career in the reforestation business. In 1985 they moved to the La Broquerie area. Geert enjoyed living here and he always showed a keen interest in the goings-on of his children and grandchildren.
He will be missed by his children, their families and by his two surviving brothers, sisters-in-law and one surviving brother-in-law in the Netherlands.
Special thanks to Resthaven Personal Care Home, Steinbach Cancer Care, Steinbach Bethesda Hospital, Emmerson Care Home, Vita Care Home and all staff who cared so lovingly for our dad.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Resthaven Personal Care Home, Steinbach with interment to follow at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB.
