Gary Squires
Passed peacefully away in the presence of his wife and loving family on Thursday evening, Gary Wayne Squires in his 58th year. Gary was a special guy, a friend, mentor, and great father to his children. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends, and co-workers at the City of St. John’s. Left to mourn are his wife Paula, daughters Jessica (Brian), Kendra Noftall and sons Gregory (Krystal), Ryan Noftall (Judy) and Jordan Noftall (Nicole). Gary was pre-deceased by his mother Marina Joan Squires. Also mourning are his sisters Barbara Short (Bernie) and Heather Squires (Philip). Remembering him with great affection are his father-in-law Howard Easton also his nieces Jillian Colbert (Mike), Karla Short (Philip), Megan English (Mark) and nephew Ian Short (Emily). Gary will also be missed by his sisters-in-law Lisa Dinn (Doug), Stacey Easton and brothers-in-law Kirk Easton (Regina), Dennis Easton (Amelia). Also grieving Gary’s passing are all his aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as co-workers and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday, August 20 from 2-4 &7-9 pm and Tuesday, August 21 from 2-4 &7-9pm. Funeral Service will take place at Wesley United Church on Wednesday, August 22, time to be announced. Reception to follow.
