Obituary of Gary Ivany
IVANY, Gary- age 59, of Bridgewater, formally of Halifax, passed away on Friday, July 6 in South Shore Regional Hospital. Born on August, 10, 1958, he was a son of Robert and Jane (Davis) Ivany. Gary is survived by his wife, Dawn; mother, Jane Ivany; sons, Jason Ivany and Justin Ivany, both of Halifax; stepdaughters, Sandra O’Quinn, Eastern Passage; Erin O’Quinn, Bridgewater; sisters, Susan Ivany and Pam Ivany, both of Halifax; brothers, John (Jean) Ivany, Moncton; Brian (Cheryl) Ivany, Guelph, Ont; grandchildren, Anna, Drake and Torin; several cousins; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Robert Ivany.
A celebration of life in remembrance of Gary will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater, where online condolences may be made by visiting www.sweenysfuneralhome.com
