Gary Paul Zima
Born October 26, 1955
Passed peacefully the morning of January 1, 2018 with his daughter at his bedside.
He was predeceased by his parents, Helen and Joe; stepmother Donna; brothers, Derek and Vern; and nieces, Leanne and Brianna. Gary will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Chrystal (Jeremy); son Gavin; grandchildren Alexis and Jordan; sister Carol (Ron); brother Larry (Carla), and nephews Scott, Thomas, and Matthew.
Gary loved cheering for the Oilers, golfing, Nascar, horse racing, and spending time with his family and friends.
He was his grandchildren’s and nephew’s biggest fan and supported many of their sporting events much to the dismay of his accountant. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Westlawn Funeral Home, 16310 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
