CANNON – Garnet Roy (1929-2018)
It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Garnet on Saturday August 25, 2018 just 10 days short of his 89th birthday in the comfort of his home with family and friends. Beloved husband to Bev for the past 42 Years. Loving brother of Doris Smith. Loving grandfather of Adele Cannon and Amber Harris. Great Grandfather to Cameron, Alexis, Aydin, Kaitlyn, Nick and Mathew. Great Great Grandfather to Jaxon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He served the City of Niagara Falls as a Firefighter and enjoyed his retirement for the past 28 years. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at the Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street, on Friday August 31, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life for Garnet in the Chapel. Private family interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. Special thanks to Dr. Findlay and all the staff at Juravinski Cancer Centre, the ParaMed nurse Lillya, CCAC and the Respiratory team who took care of all his needs with compassion and dignity. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Stamford Presbyterian Church would be greatly appreciated.
