GRABOWSKI, GABRIEL WILFRED “GIB”
Gib Grabowski died peacefully, at Cassellholme, North Bay, on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. He was in his 90th year. Gib was the beloved husband for 45 years of Elaine (McBride) of Sundridge and was predeceased by his first wife Marion (Young) (d. 1972). He was the much-loved father of Wayne (Sylvia), Rodney (Bet), Daniel (Betty) and Cathy (Leon); and was predeceased by his infant children Joseph, Gabriel and Gloria; Grandfather of Leslie (Darryl), Nicole, Tanya (Ryan), Melissa, Natasha (Rob), Thomas and Ashley; and great-grandfather of Kally, Taylor, Sydney, Madison, Xander, Mackenzie, Brianna, Cheyenne, Kaidence, Rylan, Mason, Carter, Zachary and Ashton. He was predeceased by his grandson Josh and infant granddaughter Angela. Gib was the dear brother of Marie Hummel (Willard) and was predeceased by his siblings Joe (Wilamine), Gathy Timpano (Joe), Sylvester (Kay), Rita Young (Barney), Florian (Stella), Betty Young (Connie) and infant sister Barbara. He was brother-in-law to Laura and Larry Gauthier, Jackie and Larry Geisler and Denny and Pam McBride. Gib is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. The Grabowski family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Sunday, December 30 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 31 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, Trout Creek. Spring interment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
