Lappage, Frederick Charles (Sept. 5, 1934 – Feb. 14, 2018) – The family of Fred Lappage sadly announce his passing at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on February 14, 2018 after a two year hard fought battle with cancer.
He leaves behind his wife of 60 years Joyce (nee Thomas); his son Peter of Calgary, Alberta, daughter Penny Sampson of North Bay; four grandchildren Charlene Leybourne (Justin) of North Bay, Ashley Sampson (Paul) of Nanaimo, BC, Karina & Cody Lappage of Calgary, Alberta; one great grandson Colson Leybourne; and one sister Jean Ross of Guelph, Ont.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late Charles & Lena (nee Giberson) Lappage of Lower Kintore, New Brunswick. Also predeceased by his sisters Bertha McDougall, Alice Rideout, Dorothy Riddell, Ruth Lewis, Olive Hurley; brothers Lewis, Philip, Arnold and George Lappage.
His wishes were to be cremated and have a gathering to celebrate. The family wishes to invite family, friends, neighbors and co-workers of North Bay Public Works to celebrate his memory at the Shrine Club, 1260 Brookes St., North Bay from 2 until 4 pm on Monday Feb. 19th, 2018.
Donations in memory of Fred to the Northern Cancer Foundation or the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
