After a short battle with cancer, on Monday, April 23, 2018, Fred Abraham passed away peacefully at the Carpenter Hospice at the age of 82. Loving husband of the late Betty for 51 years. Cremation has taken place. Mike, who was like a son to Fred; as well as countless other friends, whose lives Fred touched in a profound way, especially Jeff, Tyler, Chris, Greg and Jimmy, who were his extended family. A special thanks to Jeff and Tyler for making the trip to see dad in his last days. Fred was a very active man, always there to lend a hand, truly selfless in the way he lived his life. Whether it be to offer a ride or home-baked goods, he strived to make life better for those around him, no matter who they were.
Special thanks to Dr. Hanna and his staff, to the wonderful caregivers and volunteers at the Carpenter Hospice, and all the friends and family who came to visit and support Fred.
Cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Carpenter Hospice or the Food Bank would be appreciated.
