Frank Joseph Shannahan
December 23, 1935 – September 30, 2018
Frank passed peacefully away at the age of 82 on Sunday, September 30, 2018, surrounded by his family. He is predeceased by: his parents Lawrence and Mary Ann; brothers Lawrence, Robert, William (Colette), and John (Josephine); sisters Emma (Alan Williams), Theresa (Alan Walsh), Margaret (John McCarthy) and Katherine (Peter McLaughlin). Left to celebrate his life are his loving wife of 55 years Mary (nee Hanlon), daughter Barbara (Nicholas McGrath), sons Lawrence (Twyla) and Kirby (Rachelle) and beloved grandchildren Shawn and his two darlings Simon and Adrienne, who called him “B”, brought much joy to his life, and, who along with the little white dog Parsu, always held a special place in is heart. He also leaves behind brothers Ron (Marena) and Kevin and sisters Winnie (Gerald Vickers, deceased), Joan (Bernard O’Neill, deceased), and Sally (John Skehans), brothers in-law-Walter (Sylvia), Colin (Winnie), Barry, and Felix Keough (Bridget, deceased), and sisters-in-law Kay (John) and Rose (Edgar Branton, deceased). At Frank’s request there will be no visitation. Funeral service will take place from Caul’s Chapel on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the SPCA. A private interment to be held at a later date.
