Frances Elaine MacIntosh
1924-2018
It is with great sadness, and thankfulness for a long life
well lived, that we announce the passing of Frances E. MacIntosh of
Fredericton, NB on Monday, May 14th, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers
Hospital. Born in Bathurst, NB on October 5th, 1924 to the
late Peter and Sophia (Jennings) Jamieson she was the wife of the late
Walter MacIntosh.
She will be lovingly missed by her son, Calvin MacIntosh
(Peggy Ossinger) of Fredericton, NB; her grandchildren, James
MacIntosh of Fredericton, NB and Anna MacIntosh (Lincoln Carnam) of
Columbus, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Grant and Reagan Carnam of
Columbus, Ohio; sister, Eleanor MacIntosh of Moncton, NB as well as
many nieces, nephews and friends.
While she was able Frances loved to cook, both for company
and for any event that may be happening at Skyline Acres Baptist
Church. Everyone knew that you couldn’t visit without having
a cup of tea and a little lunch. She will be fondly
remembered for her wonderful bread and rolls and for her
hospitality. She especially loved to have her family visit
her and thoroughly enjoyed when her nieces and nephews would come by
in later years. Above all else, her faith in the Lord was
her passion and it was what sustained her.
A special thank you to the nurses and staff of 4SE and 4E for
the loving and compassionate care that was provided over the past two
months. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
Frances was predeceased by her parents; husband, Walter;
brothers, Cameron, Tommy, Kenneth and Everett and her sister,
Dorothy.
Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home on
Wednesday, May 16th, 2018 from 7-9 pm. A memorial service
will be held at Skyline Acres Baptist Church on Thursday, May 17th,
2018 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Karl Csaszar
officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in
the Highland View Cemetery, Bathurst, NB. In lieu of
flowers, memorial donations in her honour may be made to Skyline Acres
Baptist Church, the Gideons, Fredericton Meals on Wheels or to a
charity of the donor’s choice.
