It is with heavy hearts that the family of Florence Jean Gallant announces her passing that occurred on Tuesday August 21, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1951 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Charles Sr. and Lillian (Goodin) Cochrane. She is survived by her son Joe Gallant (Lynn Blanchard) of Rothesay; daughter Lisa Dawn Gallant of Calgary; brothers Charles (Juanita), Jack (Judy) and Gerald (Kathleen); sisters Margaret Kearney, Betty Fudge, Alice (Paul) LeBlanc, Brenda McOuan and Dawn (Roland) Hinton; grandchildren Katelyn, Tamara, Michael and great-granddaughter Kyliee; special friend and fiancé Arthur Campbell; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Joseph Gallant Sr. and brother-in-law John McOuan.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road where visitation will be held on Sunday August 26, 2018 from 2-6 p.m. A Celebration of her Life will be held at Carleton Kirk United Church on Monday August 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
