Obituary for Florence Demers
Florence Mary Demers of Wallaceburg passed away peacefully with family by her side at the CKHA – Chatham Campus on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the age of 93. Florence is the daughter of the late Joseph and Delia (Dubuque) Goudreau. Predeceased by her beloved husband Gerard “Gerald” Demers in 1979. Loving mother of Terry Robinson (David), Sherry Demers and the late Nancy Hanson (Buck). Dear grandmother of Tim (Terri-Lynn), Todd, Jeff and Jason (Tracy) and great grandmother of Brooklyn, Mikayla, Jenna, Cameron and Gregory. She will be remembered by several nieces and nephews. Sister of Helen Smith and the late Elie and Reginald Goudreau. Special friend to Jordan. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Wallaceburg Retirement Residence and the 4th floor staff of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance in Chatham for their wonderful care of Florence. The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Friday. The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection to be Celebrated at Holy Family Church on Saturday, April 14 at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
