Evelyn Ruth McEvoy (Chambers) Nee Davidson 1916-2018
Evelyn passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday September 11th, 2018 in her 103rd year. She was born in Alberta and moved to Ontario with her family when she was twelve. Predeceased by parents Edward and Ruth Davidson, husbands Clarence Chambers and Gerrard McEvoy. Predeceased by sisters Thelma (Clayton) Fern (Murney) Edna (Charlie) Mary (Allen) Lorraine (Angus) and brothers Carman (Olive) Perry (Leona). Predeceased by son Gary (Dawn) and stepdaughter Catherine (Rick), stepson Paul (Heather) and step granddaughter Jenny. Survived by sons Glen (Marlean) and David (Christine) and stepdaughters Mary (Terry) and Susan (Bill) as well as 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Evelyn was loved by many nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life at St. Mark’s United Church, Cannifton on September 29th. Visitation at 12:30 with a service at 2pm. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to St. Mark’s United Church Memorial Fund or the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of your choice.
