CHORNEY, EVA (Nee: KONASHEWSKY)
March 8, 1921 ~ October 23, 2018
Eva was born the second of five children on March 8th, 1921. She passed away peacefully at the age of 97 at Grandview Capital Care in Edmonton on October 23rd, 2018.
She is celebrated and lovingly remembered by her children, Lloyd Chorney (Donna) of Valleyview Alberta, Carole Hawkins (Jerry) of Taylors, SC, USA and Trish Peterson (Dale) of Edmonton; and two siblings, Anne and Peter. Eva was incredibly proud to be a “Gram” to nine grandchildren and a “Great Gram” to 14.
Eva was predeceased by her husband of 47 years John, her mother and father, one brother and a sister.
Our mom was a strong prayer warrior. Her faith and family defined her time here on earth. She loved music, spending time in her garden, and was a terrific cook.
There will be a funeral service held at 2:00PM on November 2, 2018 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 16204 Fort Road NW, Edmonton, AB.
The Chorney family are so incredibly thankful for the love and care shown to our Mom during the 3 1/2 years she called home at Grandview Capital Care. The caregivers became her extended family and have memories and stories about ‘their Eva’!
