Paterson, Eunice Cordelia of Strathroy in her 92nd year at Strathroy Middle General Hospital passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Duncan « Ross » Paterson (2008)
Cherished mother of Lynda (Grant) Elliott, Sharon (David) Maggio, Richard Paterson (Marjorie Skea), Wayne (Bonnie) Paterson. Loving Grandmother to Jamie (Laura) Elliott, Jason (Terrie) Elliott, Drew (Becky) Maggio, Shona Maggio, Phillip (Kelly) Paterson, Douglas Paterson, Stuart (Sarah) Paterson, Delia (Mark) McPhail, Ben (Cyndi) Paterson, Ted (Melynda) Paterson and 23 Great-granchildren. Survived by sister in law Betty Purdy. Predeceased by 2 Great-grandchildren and brother Clarence Purdy.
Eunice and Ross took great pride in their life on the farm, raising their children and demonstrating a hard working lifestyle to their children and the next generation. Eunice continued her life of serving as she worked as a nursing aid. Eunice enjoyed years of socializing as she played cards, bingo, gardening and creating many quilts for family. During Eunice’s later years she resided at Trillium Village in Strathroy and loved her time there getting to know different neighbours and the caring staff. Nothing gave Eunice greater pride than the get togethers seeing her growing family of grandchildren and Great grandchildren at family events.
A visitation in memory of Eunice will take place on Monday, May 14th at M. Box & Son Funeral Chapel, 183 Broad Street in Parkhill from 4pm-8pm with an Order of the Eastern Star , Exeter Chapter #222, service conducted at 3:30pm. A funeral service celebrating the life of Eunice will be conducted on Tuesday, May 15th at 11am with Rev. Robert Wilson of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Strathroy officiating and Rev. Brian McKenzie assisting at M. Box & Son Funeral Chapel. followed by interment at the Nairn Cemetery.
