Peacefully passed away, the Campbellford Memorial Hospital on Friday, January 12, 2018 surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous and unselfish battle with cancer. James Eugene Dewey of Campbellford at age 77. Beloved husband of Marlene Dewey (Coughlin) and dear father of Ryan (Hawley Moulton). Proud grandpa to Jacob and Jared Dewey. Brother of Tom Dewey (Shirley) of Arden. Predeceased by his parents John and Stasia Dewey. Brother in law of June Lyman (late Bob) of Kingston and Lita Cassidy (Bob) of Kemptville. Also survived and will be missed by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Weaver Life Centre, 77 Second Street in Campbellford (705-653-1179) on Tuesday, January 16 from 5-9 p.m. Prayers at 5:00 p.m. and Legion service at 6:30 p.m., Visitation will then be held at the Hannah Funeral Home in Tamworth (613-379-2997) on Wednesday, January 17 from 9-10:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Assumption in Erinsville at 11:00 a.m. Interment Assumption Parish Cemetery. Memorial donations (by cheque please) made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church (Bell Tower Fund) would be appreciated by the family.
