Eudora I. Patterson

It is with great sadness we announce the passing on Eudora Ileen Patterson (Coldwell) on the Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, surrounded by her family and her loving husband of 73 years, St. Clair.
Born on November 22, 1927, in Springhill, Colchester County, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late John & Alice (Lewis) Coldwell.
As a child she moved with her parents to Avonport. In her teen age years she was a regular foot passenger on the M.V. Kippowa to Springhill. During the Second World War, she worked for the Canadian Red Cross in Wolfville. She also worked at the Wolfville Hospital and for a time was also employed at Acadia University. In 1947, she married St.Clair Harvie Patterson and resided in Hantsport. Eudora was president numerous times of the Ladies Auxillary of the Lucknow Branch 109, of the Royal Canadian Legion, Hantsport and also president of the Kings Daughter’s, Hantsport Baptist Church. Later in life she worked at the Wolfville Nursing Home, in the Kitchen. Eudora loved her family deeply and she instilled honesty and love to all of those she knew. She was a very kind and gracious lady, who would always be there to aid and shelter those in need. She often put her own needs after those she loved. She was soft spoken and always had the right words to say for every occasion. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Eudora with her own elegance and grace made our world a better place.
