ELIA, Rica (Arabia) – Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at her home in Niagara Falls, at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Giacomo (1972). Devoted mother of Domenic (Mary Jane) and Antoinette (Peter Morreale). Adored Nana of Tara (Vincent), Anthony (Marzeena), Michael (Kristine) Joe and Robert Dunnett (Barbara). Fondly remembered by 9 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her 2 sisters and 3 brothers and an infant daughter Maria (1949).
Rica was a member of the Jehovah Witness Hall since 1973. She was born in Cutro, Catanzaro, Italy and married Giacomo Elia in 1945. Immigrated to Canada in 1961 and has resided in Niagara Falls.
The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St., Niagara Falls, on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A service to commemorate the life of Rica, will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. Burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to a charity of their choice.
