Ernie Cole
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Ernie Cole on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the age of 72 years. Beloved husband, for 52 years, of Karin Cole. Dear father of Randy (Tracy) Cole and Stan Cole. Grandfather of Rob Cole (Karley) and Greg Cole (Robyn), and great grandfather of Jesce, Mylz, Kaelen and Lilly. Will be missed by his siblings Elsie (Frank) DeJong, Gordon (Nancy) Cole, and Jonas (Jessie) Cole, as well as by his in-laws, Rebecca Ferguson, Georgina Worden, Donna Irish (Ralph), Fred Dawson (Jeanette), Marg Wilson, (Don Spracklin), Jim Dawson, Nancy Dawson (Larry), John Dawson (Theresa), and Roman Gonczowski. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Ernie was predeceased by his loving parents Stan and Thelma Cole, brother Raymond Cole, and in-laws Violet and George Dawson, Janice Gonczowski, Terry Gonczowski, Frank Worden, Garry Ferguson, and Robert Wilson.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Monday, July 9th from 2-7 pm. A ceremony celebrating Ernie’s life will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, July 10th at 11 am. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada will be gratefully acknowledged.
