Obituary for
Ernest Lowell Bradley
Bradley, Ernest Lowell – 87 of Bible Hill passed away peacefully on December 20th, 2018 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Son of the late Ernest and Irma (Smith) Bradley, Ernie was a loving, caring, and generous person. He worked diligently as a sales agent for 40 years. He was active as a member of the Truro Masonic Lodge #43, 32nd Scottish Rite Masons, Philae Shriners, and Central Shrine Club. He was a past President of the Rotary Club of Truro; and a member of the Truro Curling Club and First Baptist Church. Ernie spent the last seven years happily married to Madeline. Together they travelled and greeted each day with appreciation and gratitude for each other and the simple things in life. Buster, his dog and companion, held a special place in his heart. Ernie is survived by his loving wife, Madeline (Smith); sister, Joan (Dean Williams) of Kingston, ON and brother-in-law, Ron Ness of Campbellville, ON. He will also be affectionately remembered by his four step children and their families. Besides his parents, Ernie was predeceased by former wife, Lorna and sister, Joyce Bradley-Ness. Visitation will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 from 1-2 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 2 p.m. both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, with Rev. Kaj Binderup officiating. Reception to follow. Interment will take place at a later date in Gays River Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in Ernie’s memory may be made to the Rotary Club of Truro, Colchester East Hants Health Centre Foundation or charity of choice.
