Ernest “Ernie” Joseph Vezeau
86 Years who passed away at his residence on July 6th, 2018.
Cherished husband of Marina Vezeau (nee McIsaac) for 64 years. Beloved father of Donna Greer (Rick), Theresa Williams, Albert Vezeau (Shari), Robert (predeceased)(Suet), Cheryl Paul (Robin), Wendy Vezeau (Larry Butt) and David Vezeau. Special godfather of Jack (John) Skatula. Treasured grandfather of Amber, Jason, Steven, Michelle, Allison, David and will be missed by many great grandchildren. Dear son of Albert and Emma Vezeau (both predeceased). Special brother of Dolores and Eileen (both predeceased). Will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special thanks are given to Brandy for everything she did in his final month. Ernest was a two tour veteran of the Korean War, wounded in action in January of 1952. He returned to Canada and left the combat arms, re-enlisting to serve for another fourteen years at Petawawa Camp, where he would help raise his family. After leaving the military, Ernest and family landed in Sudbury where he would work for INCO in the mines. He loved Stompin’ Tom Connors and often hosted large family gatherings, where everyone was always welcome.
A graveside committal service will take place on
Friday, July 13, 2018 at 1P.M
at the Civic Memorial Cemetery
