Erin’s Obituary
SPROUL, Erin Hannah ~ age 21 passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 in Valley Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. Born pre-maturely in Kentville, she was the daughter of Craig and Tina (Christina ((DeAthe)) Sproul. Erin graduated from West Kings District High School. A constant smile and a hearty “Hi” for everybody she knew was an indication of her Social Butterfly status recognized by anybody who knew her. Her love of babies was a driving force in her life. Babies seen out in public, babies seen on TV, in advertising, on-line, on cereal boxes, in weekly flyers etc. If Erin said “Baby” you can rest assured, there was a baby within her line of sight! Other passions she enjoyed were going for drives and listening to her music. At times if Mom or Dad were running late and should have to pass a car on the highway, all of their stress would pass away as they merged back into traffic and Erin would exclaim “Wow!” and shake with giddiness at having gone fast! Her love of horse shows where she could watch her Mom and her Sister riding and jumping was her special treat. It was almost forbidden to announce attendance at a horse show too early in the household, because her willingness to ask “Go?” could, and did, last weeks long! Erin is survived by her parents, Craig and Tina, South Greenwood; sister, Halie Sproul, South Greenwood; maternal grandparents, Brian and Betty DeAthe, South Greenwood; paternal grandparents, Malcolm and Doris Sproul, Greenwood; and several Aunts, Uncles and cousins. The family would to thank Erin’s best friend, Bev Pye for all her love and support over many years. Also the Doctors , Nurses and Staff of the IWK over the past 21 years, and the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of Valley Regional Hospital near the end will forever be remembered with heartfelt appreciation. Cremation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of Life 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. 902-825-3448. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Erin’s memory can be made to the IWK Health Centre.
