Beloved grandfather and father Eric Eldon Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born in Saint John, NB on January 25, 1948 he was the son of the late Cecil and Anne (Dunlop) Jackson.
Eric worked as a pipefitter for the Irving Oil Refinery for many years. He was a member of the Rothesay Yacht Club, Saint John Theatre Company and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Eric is survived by his sons Andrew Jackson (Tania) and Cordell Jackson (Amanda) and their mother Katherine Landry Preston; cherished grandchildren Emily, Sarah, Jonathan, James, Keegan, Tauren and Matia; brother Rolf Jackson (Polly); sister Marion Pierce (Norman); sister-in-law Dorothy Jackson and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 10 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to service. Remembrances may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
