Enid Lillian Fulton
Fulton (Lavallée), Enid Lillian of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Dykeland Lodge in Windsor.
The youngest of four girls, Enid Lavallée was born to Ada (Edgely) and John “Jack” Lavallée on September 6, 1929 in Jonquière, QC. The family soon left the Saguenay – Lac-Saint-Jean region for Quebec City and later to Montreal, where Enid graduated and worked as a buyer for Simpson’s Department Stores, demonstrating her wonderful knack for predicting what fashion-conscious consumers would wear. Enid dated and married Charlie Fulton and together the lovebirds returned to his native Nova Scotia where she lived life to the fullest through the simple pleasures of love, laughter and entertaining her many wonderful friends. Enid pursued her career as a buyer with Jacobson’s of Dartmouth before joining the fun-loving accounting team at the brand new Dartmouth General Hospital where she remained until retirement.
Enid is survived by one sister, A. Jean (late Guy) Wilkins of Mississauga, ON, close family friend, Kathy (Larry) Oakes, several nieces and nephews, their families, and many loving friends and associates.
Enid was predeceased by her husband, Charles Duncan Fulton and by their beloved daughter, Catherine Louise, as well as Enid’s sisters, Mary (late Bill) Hewitt and Helen (late Ben) Laurie.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth with interment to follow in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
