Emmanuel Carrier
The family of Emmanuel Carrier sadly announce his passing on January 11th, 2018 at 93 years old. He passed peacefully at the Campbellton Regional Hospital.
He is lovingly known by everyone as Poppy. He was a World War II veteran and worked at the Noranda Mines in Murdochville, Quebec. Emmanuel loved a good hand at poker, the outdoors, and making a home for stray cats.
He is predeceased by his wife Gladys, son Chalmer, daughter-in-law Donna, and grandson Brian. He is survived by his children Linda (Laurent), Allison (Barbara), Andrew (Donna), Clarence (Janette), Valerie (Fernand), Gail (Antoine), Michael (Lori), Rodney (Ingrid), brother William, and special friend Ann. He has 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
A special thank you to daughter-in-law Brenda who went above and beyond taking care of Emmanuel these past two years.
A private graveside funeral will be held in the Spring. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.
