OBITUARY
Emilio Luongo
November 15, 1925 – May 27, 2018
It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Emilio on May 27, 2018.
Born in Torre Le Nocelle Avellino, Italy. Immigrated to Canada in 1952 Survived by his loving wife of 58 years: Ada, son Tony (Dustine), Daughter: Liana, Grandchildren (Erica, Amy, Travis).
Emilio was the fifth child of eight brothers and sisters, two surviving siblings: Luigi (Italy) and Elena (NY) and many nieces and nephews. Predecease by his mother Julia and father Antonio. We like to thank the staff a Willingdon Care Centre for the care and compassion you had given my father for the last 9mths. Emilio will be remember by his many friends for his great caring and kindness. Prayer will be held on Wednesday, June 6th at 7:30pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church – 555 South Slocan Street, Vancouver. B.C. There will be a private viewing prior to the prayers located left of foyer entrance of the church (20 minutes before). Funeral mass to be held at Our Lady of Sorrows, June 7th at 10pm. Private entombment service to follow at Ocean View Cemetery – 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, B.C. In Lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Emilio’s honor to Willingdon Care Centre.
