Emilie Rose Marie Malo
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear wife/mother Emilie, age 73 on November 07, 2018 at her home with family by her side.
Emilie was born on February 04, 1945 in La Rochelle, Manitoba. She was the second oldest of eight children to Amable and Aurise Charette. Emilie worked hard her whole life right from the time she was a very young girl. She had the most gentle and loving soul and would light up a room with her big beautiful smile. Emilie had the ability to make everyone feel loved and special and she lived for her family and friends. There is nothing that she would not do for each and every one of them. Her love for everyone was the one and only thing that bothered her about her passing on. Doing so would mean that she would be required to say good-bye to all that she loved so deeply. Emilie enjoyed quilting, scrapbooking and vacationing with family and friends. She loved people…and people loved her.
Emilie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 47 years Theodore, her children, Kathleen (Les), and Blair (Johanna); Siblings, Diane (Ovila), Lilianne, Lorette (Leo), Lynne (Harold); grandchildren, Brian (Faith), Monica (Matthew), Jayde (Kirsten), Pawel and great grandchildren, Samantha, Benjamin, Nikolas and a number of loving relatives and close friends. Emilie was predeceased by her parents Amable and Aurise Charette, her first husband Herve Malo , her two children at birth, sister Gisele Couke, her brother Romeo, and brother-in-laws Norbert Arpin and Abe Peters.
A celebration of Emilie’s life will be held on November 14, 2018 at 2:00pm at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2J 4J4. Tea and coffee to follow at the same location of service.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to staff at Cancer Care Manitoba and staff at Glen Lawn for their support and care during Emilie’s last and final days, Niverville Pharmacy for their support and kindness. We are also sincerely grateful to the many friends and family who have given support and comfort to Emilie and her family in her final months of life. If friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Emilie Malo to a charity of their choice.
