It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Elsie Mary LeFrense (nee Ball) announce her passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Monday, July 23rd, 2018 at the age of 90 years. Born in Rencontre West, NL. Elsie was the daughter of the late Reuben and Caroline Ball (nee King). She was also predeceased by her husband Walter LeFrense; father and mother-in-law James and Amelia LeFrense; son Walter LeFrense; brother Norman Ball; sisters-in-law Edith Jane (Cecil) Marsden, Marion (Frank) Morris, Alma (Eric) Meade, Eli LeFrense; brother-in-law Garland Thorne
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children Elsie (Peter) Ingram of Margaree, NL, Ralph (Shelia) LeFrense of Turo, NS, Pauline (Earl) Billard, Katie (Joshua) Skinner both of Isle aux Morts, NL, Marion (Clarence) Meade of Halifax, NS; grandchildren Arlene (Clifford) Lillington, Darrell LeFrense (Robert Burns), Joy (Ken) Fitzgerald, Velda Francis, Peggy Meade (Eric Brymer), Carolann (Wade) Keough, Deon (Henrietta) Billard, Trudy Billard (Terrance Osmond), Marlene (Kevin) Blackburn, Bradley (Carla) Skinner; great-grandchildren Kyrstal, Colby, Chad, Brittany, Tiffany, Kaylie, Griffen, Andy, Brady, Nicholas, Kelsie, Katie; great-great-grandson Scott Cousins; sisters-in-law Hilda Thorne of Marystown, NL, Thressa LeFrense of Isle aux Morts, NL plus a large circle of nephews, nieces.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 24th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm continuing on Wednesday, July 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle aux Morts, NL from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 26th at 2 pm officiated by Rev. Duncan Granter assisted by Deacon John Billard with interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road, NL. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Elsie’s memory can be made to the Hillside Haven Cemetery Fund.
