Lloyd leaves to mourn his wife Jean Untershultz; his brother Alvin (Marion) Ellis of Athabasca, AB; his sister Grace Guevin of Kamloops, BC; sister-in-law Gloria Ellis of Carnwood, AB as well as numerous family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents: George and Olga Ellis; his first wife Edna Mooney; brothers: Ray (Janet) Ellis, Cecil Ellis, Iver (Christine) Ellis, Ernie (Kathleen) Ellis, Ronnie Ellis and sister Wilma (Gordon) Colby.
Lloyd was quick witted with a determined mind. Starting out as a Blacksmith repairing equipment for neighbours and friends, soon led him to becoming a Certified Journeyman Welder and Journey Machinist. He had many talents and was a mater at critical thinking and creating his many inventions.
Musically inclined, at a young age he made his very own fiddle and taught himself how to read sheet music. Lloyd loved to play at local dances and competed in fiddle competitions. He also taught himself how to dance the old time waltzes where he and his wife Jean, would dance at the local country music jams.
One of his hobbies was journaling. He started his first diary in 1941 and made his last entry only a few months ago. He was a remarkable man who will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Lloyd’s Life will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the Breton Community Centre, Breton, AB at 1:00 pm.
