Obituary of Ellen Crowther
CROWTHER- Ellen (née Owen). Born November 30, 1923, passed away on August 24, 2018 at the Welland County General Hospital at the age of 94 years. Ellen was predeceased by her husband George Crowther, her son James Crowther, her brothers Jack Owen, Ronald Owen and Bruce Owen. Ellen is survived by her sons, Michael Crowther and Thomas Crowther both of Port Colborne, her daughters, Patricia (Steve) Scolaro of Grimsby, Jennifer (Rob) Maurice of Port Colborne and Elizabeth Watt (Archie) of Welland, her grandchildren, Tessa (Rico) Carmosino of Grimsby, Steve (fiancé Jennifer Richards) Maurice of Niagara Falls and Michael (Danisa) Crowther of Barrie, her great grandchildren, Ben, Sam, Nic and Jon Carmosino. Ellen was born and raised in Port Colborne, where she spent her entire life. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. A family interment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
