ELIZABETH “LIZ” RITA MARIE ROBINSON
October 2, 1945 – June 7, 2018
Peacefully, at VON Sakura House surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday, June 7, 2018, Elizabeth “Liz” Rita Marie (Liptak) Robinson of Tillsonburg and formerly of Kitimat, B.C and Long Point, passed away at the age of 72 years. Liz was the beloved wife and best friend for 49 years to the Late Lanny Robinson (May 6, 2017). Proud and loving mother of her two daughters Danielle Iallonardo and her husband Mike of Burnaby, B.C. and Melissa VanGulck and her husband Jeff of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandma of Luca, Aiden and Logan. Dearly missed by her sister Irene Wurm of New Hamburg. Liz is also survived by her extended family in both Hungary and Canada. Predeceased by her parents Lajos (Louis) and Gizella (Isobel) (Vastag) Liptak, her brother Louis Liptak and brother-in-law Joe Wurm. Liz started her career as an elementary school teacher but as her girls came along she decided to stay at home and raise her family. Liz had a love for gardening but her world revolved around her grandchildren. She had a passion to spend as much time as possible with them and loved them dearly. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service for Liz will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Celebrant Candace Helmsley officiating. Interment to follow at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to VON Sakura House would be appreciated by the Robinson family. A special thank you to everyone who contributed with compassion and care to ensure Liz’s comfort during her final days. The family would like to especially thank C.C.A.C. Nurses Katlyn and Sharon and Sakura House Staff Bonnie, Ethel, Joan, Des and Brooke.
