Dearly loved wife for 53 years of Tom. Beth died at her summer home in The County which she enjoyed since 1960. Born in Belleville, Beth graduated teacher’s college and taught at the Ontario School for the Deaf, now Sir James Whitney for 4 years where she was known as Miss Wilbur. She went on to teach at the Prince Edward County Institute, moving to St. Catharines in 1961 where she met Tom. They were married in August of 1965. Beth went on to teach in St. Catharines at Lady Churchill, Sir Winston Churchill and Oakridge Public School until her retirement in 1989. She was a dedicated teacher and coach and was instrumental in leading the girl’s gymnastics and basketball teams to championship levels. Beth volunteered coaching gymnastics after her retirement until 2014. She will be sadly missed by the Dube families, cousins Shelley, Trevor and Tyler Doupe, and her many friends in Prince Edward County.
The family will receive friends at the Hulse and English Funeral Home & Chapel, 75 Church St., St. Catharines 905-634-6346 on Friday, November 23rd, 2018 from 1pm. A Celebration of Beth’s life will be held in the chapel at 2pm with a reception to follow at Henley Island, the family will receive friends If desired, Tom would appreciate memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation.
