Mahon, Elizabeth « Betty »
Betty of Chatham passed away peacefully in her sleep at Riverview Gardens, Chatham, ON, on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the age of 98.
She was a lifetime resident of Chatham and was the daughter of the late John Frederick and Mary Jane (McNichol) Neff.
Beloved wife of the late Donald B. Mahon (1987).
Loving mother of William (Maureen) Mahon of Columbia, South Carolina, Judith (Jim) Hewitt of Erie Beach, Linda (Marvin) Pettipiece of Chatham and Paul (Debby) Mahon of Comber.
She will be sadly missed by her 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She is also survived by sister Mary Jane (Ralph) Pyne of Ottawa and her brother William (Donna) Neff of Chatham.
Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by a granddaughter Kristen Mahon (1998), sisters Pat Wimpress (Jim) (2017) and Peggy Moore (Ray) (2009) and a sister-in-law Pearl (Doug) Maynard (2005).
Betty was a lifetime member of the C.W.L.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, ON, on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Vigil prayers will be held Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 145 Victoria Ave, Chatham, ON, on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 11 a.m., with Fr. Jim Higgins, Celebrant.
Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
