Died suddenly yet peacefully on Tuesday January 2, 2018 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood at the age of 91. Elena of Wasaga Beach, beloved wife of the late Henry Kanschat (2007). Loving mother of John Muirhead and his wife Roz, Stephen Muirhead and his wife Jane and Christopher Muirhead. Cherished Grandmother of John Luke, Tom, Kyle and Hannah. Elena is also survived by her sister Alma Budrekas. She was a kind and caring woman who cherished her family. She will be missed. A Funeral Service will be held in the spring with interment at Wasaga Beach Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel.
