Obituary of Eleanor Munro
Eleanor Munro, 99, formerly of Alma, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018, in Valley View Villa, Riverton.
Born in Limerock, she was a son of the late George and Mary Janet (Mackenzie) Munro.
Eleanor worked for many years as a florist in Truro. She was a member of GreenHill – Alma United Church and a member of the UCW. Eleanor was a founding member of the Alma Fire Department Ladies Aux.
She will be dearly missed by cousins, Helen MacLeod and Kevin and Margaret MacLeod, all of New Glasgow.
Eleanor was predeceased by her brother, Wallace Munro.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7-9PM at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her memorial service will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday at Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Karen Ross officiating. Interment will be in St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Gairloch.
