Obituary for
Elaine Jones (Quilley)
On November 28, 2018, Elaine Jones (nee Quilley) passed away at the age of 80 years.
Elaine is survived by her children, Bronwen (Stephen), Megan and Bryn (Shannon); three grandchildren, Emma, Owain and Gareth; one sister, Maureen Dean; and one brother, Tom Quilley. Predeceased by her brother, Bill and in the last year, her husband of 56 years, Brian. She will be fondly remembered by the numerous members of her extended family and many friends.
Elaine was a lifelong resident of Edmonton. She was active in the Lendrum community and moved on from there to serve as an EPSB Trustee from 1977 to 1989. She served a term as President of the ASBA. Following in her family’s footsteps and having grown up in Bellevue, she was an active volunteer of Northlands. Later in life she enjoyed golf and travel, she and Brian would often combine these two and go off on grand adventures. As an early cancer survivor, Elaine never took life for granted and she was thankful for every opportunity provided to her.
Celebration of Life Wednesday, December 5 at 3:30 p.m. at Park Memorial Reception Centre, 11015 – 101 Street. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Lung Association, Alberta.
