Obituary Overview
Eileen Reta Marie Schwerzel (nee Haney)
Peacefully, with family by her side Eileen passed away in her home in Winnipeg, as per her wishes on Friday, September 21st 2018 at the age of 88 years.
Eileen is predeceased by her husband Klaus Schwerzel; parents Norman and Eva Haney, brothers Thomas and Joseph Haney, sisters Mona (Charlie) Hayden and Marie Haney, also brother in law Rainer Schwerzel.
Eileen will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters Claudine Chaboyer, Aline Gautron (Norm) and son Todd Schwerzel, also grandchildren Clint Chaboyer (Karen), Dylan-Ryder Chaboyer (Kayla) and the apple of her eye great granddaughter Shelby Szmerski. She also leaves her brother Roy Haney (Fern), sister in law Deana Haney and many nieces and nephews.
Eileen was born in Welby, Saskatchewan in 1930 to parents Norman and Eva Haney, reminiscing many fond memories of her childhood with her siblings and friends. Eileen married Klaus Schwerzel of Germany on November 7, 1959. She loved her career of Medical Photographer at the St. Boniface Hospital and only left to be a full time homemaker of which she loved more. Eileen felt very close to her brother Roy and his family, wife Fern, children Brent (Carol) and Kim (Ken), spending time together, from Roy walking her down the aisle at her wedding right through with love and support to the end of her days. And last but not least, all the wonderful times, with her very special friends, Dolores Fenez and Jean Reimer.
We would like at this time to thank the Palliative Care Home Program and Team St. Boniface, for the excellent and compassionate care.
A private family service is to follow.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Eileen Reta Marie Schwerzel nee Haney 2018..
