Obituary for Eileen Elizabeth Bercier
BERCIER (née Bachmier): It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of our dear Mother and Grandmother, Eileen Elizabeth Bercier (Bachmier) of Brandon, formerly of Forrest, Manitoba, at the Rideau Park Personal Care Home on Friday, May 18, 2018 at the age of 75. Mom was born on May 10, 1943 in Brandon, Manitoba to the late Frank and Mary Bachmier. On July 29, 1961 she married Henry Bercier. They were married for 46 years until Dad’s passing on June 17, 2008. Mom is survived by two sons and one daughter: Darrell (Joyce) of Brandon, Denise (Todd) Stevens of Winnipeg and Bryan (Corrie) of Brandon; six grandchildren: Jordan (Natasha), Julianne (fiancé Braeden McBurney), Courtney, Dylan, Kale and Tate. Mom is also survived by two brothers and one sister: Frank, Eddie and Audrey (Bill) Beecraft, and one sister-in-law, Cathy, brothers and sisters-in-law Jack (Carol), Wilf (Margie), Eloise (Ken) Gosnold and several nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by the love of her life, our Dad (Henry), her parents Frank and Mary Bachmier, a brother Dennis and sisters-in-law Mary and Josie. Our Mom was a very devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She lived her entire life for her family. We couldn’t have had a finer Mother in the whole world. Her kindness, generosity and warm smile will remain in our hearts forever. We will always love you Mom, you did a terrific job – now you can rest peacefully. We would like to thank the staff at Rideau Park Personal Care Home, and Sokol Manor Assisted Living for the care and love they gave our mom over the past two years. A Celebration of Eileen’s Life was held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel on Wednesday, May 23rd at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Doug Craig officiating. Interment followed at the Brandon Cemetery.
