It is with great sadness that the family of the late
EDWARD
J. SLANEYof Lawn announces his passing at his home in Lawn on
Thursday, January 25th, 2018, at the age of
64. Leaving to mourn with fond and
loving memories are wife Carmelita of 45 years; sons, Edward Slaney
(Dawn Anderson) of ON, Jamie Slaney (Jennifer Francis) of Burin, and
Colby (Jasmine) Slaney of Lawn; daughters, Tammy (Scott) Slaney of St.
Lawrence, Paula (Jamie) Pike of Lawn, and Ashley (Joshua) Tarrant of
Lawn; 12 grandchildren, Jeremy, Coleten, Brandon, Travis, Kyle, Brady,
Brianna, Kallie, Trenton, Lincoln, Eric, and Nicholas; great-grandson,
Leland; sisters, Phyllis (Marcel) Belanger of AB, Gertrude (Kevin)
Brockerville of ON, Carmel Hollett of St. Lawrence, and Sarah (Julian)
Rennie of St. Lawrence; sister-in-law, Edith Slaney of Upper Island
Cove; brothers, John (Veronica) Slaney of St. Lawrence, and Todd
(Nadine) Slaney of AB; special friend, Keith Drake of Lawn; plus a
large circle of extended family and friends.
He was
predeceased by his parents, Edward & Antonia Slaney; sister,
Elizabeth (Kevin) Pickett; brother, Valentine Slaney; and
parents-in-law, Eunice & Elizabeth Follett.
The Slaney Family will be accepting visitors at their
home in Lawn on Monday January 29th and Tuesday, January
30th.
Mass of
Christian Burial will take place at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic
Church in Lawn, on a date and time to be announced.
In Edward’s memory, donations may be made
to The Slaney Family. No flowers by request of the
family.
