Edward « Ted » Abbey
ABBEY, Edward Harris (Ted)
Entered into rest peacefully on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Dunnville, at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Fay Agnew (2009). Dear brother-in-law of Rev. Robert Galston of Winnipeg, Manitoba and Loved uncle to Yvonne and Brenda of Manitoba and Blair of British Columbia. Ted is also survived by his two “Marie’s”, Marie Wozny (George) and Marie Salmon (Lanny). Ted farmed on Abbey Road in rural Caledonia, and then later in life he switched careers, founding Abbey’s Appliance Repair in Caledonia. Ted was a faithful member of Grace United Church, Caledonia, and a loyal Mason of Enniskillen Lodge. A heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of the Grandview Lodge, especially those in Marshview for their exceptional care, and also to Dr. R. Kazemi and Dr. N. Clote. Visitation will take place in the Miller Funeral Chapel, Caledonia on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. followed by a Masonic Service at 8 p.m. The funeral service will take place from the Grace United Church, Caledonia, on Tuesday, August 14 at 11 a.m. A private interment will follow in Caledonia Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the Haldimand War memorial Hospital Building Fund or the Grandview Lodge, Dunnville, in memory of Ted would be appreciated.
