Edward Du
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather Edward Du on Thursday October 18, 2018 at the Seven Oaks Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Edward was predeceased by his father Dorotheo.
Edward leaves to cherish his many memories, his wife of 33 years Ana Marie Tan, his children Kathy (Mike) Esguerra, Kristian (Lorena) Du, Nicole (Darwin) Roble, Kyle (Ana Rose) Du, grandchildren; Matty, Sebastian, Andrei, Halie, Dylan, Natasha, Kylie, and Kayden. As well as his mother Leonila and many extended family and friends.
Edward was born and raised in the Philippines, where he worked as a government employee all his life. Only 4 short years ago Edward and Ana immigrated to Canada with their entire family to allow them a better opportunity. Shortly after their arrival Edward became ill and suffered from a stroke.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and compassion given during Edward’s stay.
Lamay will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday October 26, 2018 with prayers at 7:30 pm at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday October 27, 2018 at the St Alphonsus Parish 315 Munroe Ave. with cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to the Seven Oaks General Hospital Foundation.
