It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of our dear father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Edward Charles Lorenowicz. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 18th, 2018 at Rocky View General Hospital in Calgary, AB.
Ed was born in Brandon, Manitoba in 1932 and moved out west as a teenager. He began his career in the oil exploration industry and continued until his retirement. Ed will be greatly missed by his children, Carol (Ed), Gail, Patty (Donny), Gus (Bobbie), Robert (Rachelle), John (Betty Jo), and his 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his brother, Kenny (Mary,) and his sisters Charlotte and Julia. He is predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Jean, his parents Kazimierz and Angela Lorenowicz, and his brother John Lorenowich.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the Rocky View General doctors and staff of Unit 93 for their outstanding care and compassion that was shown to Ed during his time there.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on January 8th, 2019 at the Foothills Centennial Centre #4-204 Community Way Okotoks, AB T1S 2NS from 2-4pm.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his name to the Foothills Country Hospice.
