Edna Roy
1922-2018
Bathurst- It is with deepest sorrow we,
the family, announce the passing of Edna Roy, wife of the
late Cléophas « Cléo » Roy, who died
peacefully at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Tuesday,
April 3rd, 2018 at the magnificent age of
95.
Born in Bathurst, she was
the daughter of late Wilfred and Celina (Noël)
Huard.
She is survived by
three daughters, Lillian
Drapeau (John) and Rose
Marie Roy both of Bathurst, Alvina
Plourde (Aimé) of Allardville ;
one son, Ovide Lebouthillier
of
Bathurst.
Five
grandchildren: Diane, Jason, Stephanie, Catherine and Michael and five
great-grandchildren: Sebastian, Ashley, Ashton, Tristan and
Arlee.
She is
survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Devereaux and Antoinette Lavigne,
both of
Bathurst.
Several nieces and
nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother
Francis Huard and four sisters; Valerie Boudreau, Carmela Doucet,
Viola Sooley and Ella
Doucet.
The family will receive
relatives and friends at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) on Sunday,
April 8th from 2 – 4 pm and 7
– 9
pm.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on
Monday, April 9th at 11:00 a.m. from Holy
Family Church, Bathurst.
In memory of Edna,
donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a favorite
charity.
