Edith Elizabeth Jardine
1925 – 2018
The family of Edith Elizabeth Jardine announces her passing at Miramichi Regional Hospital on November 24, 2018 at the age of 93.
Born in Bryenton, N.B., she was the daughter of the late William and Lydia (Bryenton) MacDonald and lived her entire life in the area.
She was a retired Federal Public Servant, a member of FNSA, Prince Andrew Chapter No. 44 Order of the Eastern Star, Derby and Renous Card Groups and St. Peter’s Anglican Church.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Vincent, one infant son, William, and four brothers Lloyd, Clarence, Freeman and Sherman MacDonald.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by two sons Franklin (Connie) of Quarryville, N.B. and Donald of Falmouth, N.S., five grandchildren Melanie, Alisa, Drew, Logan and Lauren and by four great grandsons Ethan, Aiden, Nolan and Parker.
Edith Elizabeth Jardine is resting at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway with visiting hours on Monday, November 26 from 2-4 and 7-9.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27 at St. Peter’s Anglican Church with Father Gerry Laskey and Father Bob Barry officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Anglican Church Cemetery.
Please Note: Members of Miramichi Chapter #44 Order of the Eastern Star are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Monday evening at 6:15 PM for a memorial service at 6:30 PM.
As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, a donation may be given to St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Miramichi Regional Hospital Palliative Care or a memorial of your choice.
