LACEY, Edith “Edie” May (nee Elloway) – Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Peterborough on Thursday, April 5th, 2018, in her 90th year. Edie, beloved wife of the late Ronald Charles Lacey; Loving mother of Roger Lacey, Edward Lacey (Lynne) and Kimberley Gray (Wilfred); Devoted grandmother of Alison (Ted), Tricia (Philip), Tim (Sarah), Victoria, Emily, Sarah and Christopher; And cherished great-grandmother of Max, Magnus, Adam, Matthew, Abby, Connor, Madelynne, Madeleine and Alexandre. Edie with be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. Edie served with the Women’s Royal Navy at the end of the Second World War and was a life member of the Peterborough Lioness Club. The family would like to express their thanks to the nurses and staff of Extendicare Peterborough for their love and care. In keeping with Edie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of Edie’s life at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough on Thursday, April 12th, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. with Eulogies at 7:30 P.M. Private family interment to take place at Rosemount Memorial Gardens at a later date. In memory of Edie, donations to Camp Kerry Society would be greatly appreciated.
