Dr. Christopher « Chris » Olsen –
81, of Wolfville, professor of Philosophy at the University of Toronto
for 35 years, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 in Windsor Elms
Village, Falmouth. The son of the late Rev. Dr. Herman and Florence
(Stovel) Olsen, he was born in Winnipeg, MB and grew up in Amherst and
Wolfville, NS. He is survived by his wife, Carole (Hope); a sister,
Mary (Ed) Bruening, Ann Arbor, Michigan; his beloved dog, Joey. He
received exceptional care and support from the staff of the Windsor
Elms Village.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or
funeral service, by his request. A private reception will be held at a
later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory will be
greatly appreciated and may be made to the Sunday Music in the Garden
Room, Acadia University. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to
the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
