A loved and respected grandfather, husband, father, and doctor, whose
career led him to practice in Labrador City NL and St. John’s NL,
where he was chief of surgery, Montreal QC, London UK, and opened a
medical clinic in Dehradun, India, with his wife. After retiring as a
surgeon, worked with Veterans Affairs Canada for over 20 years in
Charlottetown.
Special thanks to his friends and colleagues who visited him from all
over the country during the last few weeks of his life, and to his
brother who called every morning from India, Panditji who came to say
prayers during the last week of his life, and the staff, nurses, and
doctors at the QEH and the Atlantic Baptist Nursing home for their
care during the last few months of his life. Also a special thanks to
his family doctor Dr. Jason Chan for his care over the last several
years, and Dr. Doug Meek before him, and their medical teams.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home. At the request of the deceased, no
funeral or visitation will take place, but a small memorial service
will occur at a later date in Charlottetown. Please hold any donations
until that time.
Despite all accomplishments in his life, his absolute greatest joy was
being a grandfather.
