Douglas Melbourne Wood
1942 – 2018
Douglas Melbourne Wood of Miramichi passed away on Saturday December 22, 2018 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 76.
Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late Joseph and Cora (McCafferty) Wood.
Douglas was a foreman at the former Airscrew Weyrock Mill.
Douglas was also an avid member of Alcoholics Anonymous Hall (Castle Group).
Douglas is survived by two daughters: Tracey and Tanya; one sister: Rita Creamer (Cyril) of Miramichi; two Grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
Douglas is predeceased by his parents and two brothers: Jerry and Gary.
Please note there will be no visitation or funeral service.
A Graveside Committal Service will be held at the Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, in Miramichi, later in the spring.
In Doug’s memory, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Autism Miramichi.
